One of the things I love about Oracle is their dogfood compliance; so
many of their features build on top of other features that they've
already exposed to the users. IE: materialized views build on
replication, which builds on being able to look at log data.

So I think it'd be great if any built-in time slicing simply used
functionality that was already exposed to the user.
