[Bizgres-general] Packaging Bizgres PostgreSQL for next release

Folks,

(first off, Chris, if you're not already subscribed you should be)

It looks like we have a few commits for Bizgres Database, enough to
warrant a release:

Jie's beta on-disk composite bitmap indexes;
Bug fix to COPY;
Improvements to JavaLoader;
... and something else I'm forgetting ...

So we'll bundle this up in a week or so and put out a tarball as 0.8.

However, there's a major issue with how this is packaged. Given that we
now have a *seperate* Bizgres Clickstream package with KETL, Jasper, etc
in it, I don't think we should keep shipping some-but-not-all of that
stuff in the Bizgres Database release. Particularly, not the stuff in
the /demo directory.

Reasons:
1) It bloats the download by some 25mb;
2) It doesn't contain the most current versions of KETL etc.;
3) It complicates the install of Clickstream by putting conflicting
versions of the same libraries on the user's machine.

Of course, this will mean forking into two different trees, as I
understand it; one for Database and the other for Clickstream. Or has
that already happened?   Chris?

Any objections?
