First off, I've cc'd Bizgres-General mailing list.  This discussion should 
really take place there.  Anyone who isn't subscribed should.

I'm currently working on a "Configurator" program which will scope the 
system and set up appropriate conf stuff.   Further, it will generate a 
shell script which can be used to set the right shared mem parameters, 
etc.

Personally, I'm not keen on letting users run Bizgres under Apple's default 
shared mem limits.   People are going to then be inclined to run 
benchmarks with that low shared_mem, and publish them.
